The Nude: Original work by MIchael John Angel

Thank God! I finally finished this homework that is due tonight (Monday). Since I was so busy last week and did not have the time to start on this until Saturday, I was surprised I was able to complete this by Sunday night. Probably the total work time is 18 hours, including numerous breaks. But anyway, I am done and I am happy to turn it in tonight (...and frame it once returned.)

After 6 years...

After six years, I finally came back to GAIAonline.com and did my first quick commission ever again. Traditionally done with an H pencil, .05 .3 .5 ink pens, and Copic markers (comic & sketch). It was done quickly because I was getting sleepy (and also because I have not touched my copic markers for awhile) that come colors bled (maybe because of the paper I was using was not right).

But anyway, here it is. Hopefully, this gets the 13k (supposedly WAYYYYY more, but it is sloppy and I do not really mind. It was my first ever again commission anyway).

Busy, Panic, and RUSH

I knew we had homework to work on, but during that assumably critique I had no idea that this was supposed to be due that day (good thing professor didn't show up). Since I had not started even a scratch, I rushed that day after our class, and continued it after I came back from my night class. Thankfully, I was able to complete this at midnight the day before this was going to be turned in.

I'm actually surprised it turned out this good (aside from the proportions error, because of rushing). I am proud! Some said charcoal was a pain, but I actually love charcoal now that I got used to it :] Hooray!

Where are my tools?

This day was supposed to be a critique (so I assumed), but when my professor finally arrived he announced that there will be no critique day today because we already missed it last class (technically, he missed it because he was sick--we all came in that day and waited for a good 30 minutes before we got the heads up). Anyway, since it was assumably critique day, he made us do more class work lessons and I had no tools with me except for a paper provided by our professor and a stick of charcoal that I borrowed at the supplies room.

I had no idea that I will be able to live without my erasers and tortillions, but hey a finger; a charcoal; a good eye; and patience worked it.

These were sort of... awkward...But I got used to it

My professor told us about having our second model coming in that day, and it was a man. I knew it was going to be awkward whether or not it will be a man or a woman because either way they will be naked. However, an hour passed and our model came and come to find out it was an OLD man... everyone just looked at each other.
Hey, it is nothing personal. Just solely for class work and learning the human body in real life, and not solely through imaginations.

P.S. I only posted the ones towards the end, because these were the only ones I took a picture of :3

First Entry

This blog will be entirely about my art and creative creations, whether it is anime, traditional, digital, or even class work/projects. I am going to try to post at least everyday (that is if I have something to post), but aside from that this will be fun!

So, here is to my first art post.
